Big Barda [Justice League Beyond]

Did a lot of experimenting with this fig, which is why it took so long to finish. (Sorry, customer! ;_;)

Aside from practicing how to airbrush and shade flesh, I wanted to find a cheap way to make flexible removable armor, and while I did figure it out, it also happens to be a giant pain in the ass and totally not worth the time invested. Sculpey molds and Liquid Latex work just fine, but take forever to make the flexible armor. Casting resin is much faster and more durable...and much more expensive.

The panties are one piece of flexible latex, and removable, but I couldn't figure out a way to simplify the process so they're just glued at the sides. The bra is the original hard copy, I had wasted enough time at that point and needed to ship the figure already.

It's not a perfect figure, but it's not bad for a cheap commission. I'll make one for myself eventually.

Hard copy made with Apoxie Sculpt.

Press it into a blob of Sculpey to make a simple mold, and bake it.

Brush layers of liquid latex into the mold until it's the thickness you want. Takes forever, but you get some nice detailed flexible armor pieces.
